12H Sepang, GDL Racing dominates and claims the second place
It was a second place that is like a victory, for the GDL Racing in 12H Sepang 2016. The team led by Gianluca De Lorenzi, that just one week before let Rik Breukers to finish as runner-up of the PRO-AM European series in the World Final of the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo in Valencia, hit the Malaysian track with a Huracán racecar shared by the young Dutch, the local driver Melvin Moh ans Singaporean Wee Liam Lim.
A perfect trio, that went very close to take the victory as Breukers, Lim, Moh dominated the first six hours. Only the rain, in the second part of the race, and the great experience of their rival Peter Kox, eventually put them second in the GTC class, and 13rd overall among 25 cars, with most of the main official Factories such as Audi and Porsche at the start.
The 12H Sepang is not the last race of the year for GDL Racing, as the team will be facing next weekend the 12H Abu Dhabi at the Yas Marina Circuit.
