GDL Racing’s duo Breukers-Jefferies takes the top spot in the PRO class at Spa

GDL Racing ended another exciting weekend in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit, as Rik Breukers and Axcil Jefferies made their comeback on the highest step of PRO class podium. The Gianluca De Lorenzi’s squad duo took its second win after having dominated the opening round at Monza, making a great progress in the championship standings.

After finishing third in Race 1, Breukers and Jefferies won the Saturday’s Race 2, claiming the P5 overall due to the safety car that helped the ones who pitted before the yellow period.

Among them was Mario Cordoni, who claimed an extraordinary third place and the second in the AM class.

Concerning Breukers-Jefferies, after the first eight races they are only one point behind the lead, with the two double rounds of Nürburgring and Imola still to be held.

Difficult weekend for Roberto Silva and Andrés Josephsohn, who had to retire in both the races as a result of two different accidents.

At Spa, in the 24 Hours’ support championship Blancpain GT Sports Club, Dilantha Malagamuwa emerged with a GDL Racing’s Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo finishing the Main Race eight overall and first in the Xtra class, and clinched the victory also in Race 1. His team mate Roberto Rayneri, claimed two tenth places on the Mercedes Sls.

The next round of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europa will be held in Germany on the middle of September.
