BABINI-BIANCO TAKE ONE-TWO AT IMOLA
Fabio Babini, Riccardo Bianco bring up to six the number of their wins in the 2013 Italian GT. In the last weekend the GDL Racing team triumphed in both the races with the Porsche 997 at Imola, consolidating their leadership in the GT Cup class. The Ravenna-based team’s drivers were almost perfect, with Babini able to make a sensational pass in the last lap of Race 1, moving ahead of Omar Galbiati and seizing the success, such as in Race 2. After five out of seven venues, Babini-Bianco lead the championship with a wide gap. 57 are the points that separate Marco Magli from them in the standings, with only the Vallelunga and Monza rounds to be still raced. Next Italian GT weekend is scheduled in two weekes, on 14-15 September, on the Roman track.
