Gabriele Murroni aims high as the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Asia heads to Japan for the fourth double round

GDL Racing heads to East this coming weekend for the fourt of six Lamborghini Super Trofeo Asia rounds at the historical circuit of Fuji. The team led by Gianluca De Lorenzi will field as usual a car for Gabriele Murroni, who takes the second place in the Lamborghini Cup standings.

The Monegasque driver, racing for the second year in the one-make series open to Sant’Agata Bolognese cars – after having made his debut in the Middle East Championship for GDL Racing in 2017 – aims high again.

After the two second places claimed last April in the seasonal opening in Sepang, Murroni took his first class win during the following round at the Chang International Circuit in Buriram. Then he scored another win in Suzuka, in the first of the two Japanese rounds.

In Japan this weekend Murroni looks for the third win as well as scoring important points for the championship before the two last rounds in Shanghai and Vallelunga in the same weeken of the 2018 World Final 2018.

Action fires up in Fuji on Friday. Qualifying are scheduled for Saturday as well as the first of two 50-minute races, whilst Race 2 will start on Sunday.
