
GDL Racing aims at Asian and European titles
GDL Racing aims at two continental titles. At Imola, the last round of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo series, could crown the team led by Gianluca De Lorenzi in both the European and Asian series.
At the Santerno’s track, that hosts this week also the World Final, the Hong Kong’s driver Nigel Farmer and Dutchman Rik Breukers will try to bring GDL Racing to the third title of the season, after it took two in the Middle East championship early this year.
Farmer currenlty leads the PRO-AM class with 128 points – 32 still to be assigned – 29 more than his contenders Eskelinen-Ebenal. A few points less for Breukers, who missed the Suzuka round due to a clash with the European championship.
Breukers and Zimbawe’s driver Axcil Jefferies, aims also at the PRO class title of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe, as thei take the third place in the standings, only seven points behind the top, after claiming two victorues at Monza and Spa.
The GDL Racing goal is to finish the 2017 season in the best way, lining up also other two cars for Argentinean Andrés Josephsohn, who will race in the Asian Series’ Lamborghini Cup, and the Sri Lanka’s driver Dilantha Malagamuwa and Italian Mario Cordoni pair in the European AM class.
Action at Imola get underway tomorrow. The World Final will be held on Saturday and Sunday.
