GDL Racing all set for the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series rounds 5-6 at Brands Hatch

Two weeks after the Venray Raceway round, when Philipp Lietz swept all in the ELITE 2 class for GDL Racing by claiming a double victory, the San Marino’s team heads to the Brands Hatch circuit to face the next two races of the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series.

In England, GDL Racing will line up as usual a Ford Mustang car for the Austrian driver in both the ELITE 1 and 2 classes. After four races, Lietz takes the third place in the ELITE 2 Drivers standings, with a four-point gap from the leader Gianmarco Ercoli.

Also in the ELITE 2 class, a GDL Racing’s Dodge Challenger will be driven as usual by Francesca Linossi, who scored the victory among the Ladies at Venray and Valencia, where she claimed a sixth overall finish. Danish Niki Petersen vows to bounce back, after he had to retire in both the races in the Netherlands.

In the ELITE 1 Swede Freddy Nordström and Austrian Dominich Tiroch will also race under the GDL Racing banner.

The Brands Hatch venue is scheduled next weekend (6th-7th June) with 28 cars entered and will host the third edition of the American Speedfest. Qualifying, superpole and Race 1 will take place on Saturday, while Race 2 is planned on Sunday.
