GDL Racing anticipates its debut in the Asian GT

After having announced its debut in the Asian GT in the 12H Sepang next December, GDL Racing Team Asia is set to anticipate its first appearance in the series. The Gianluca De Lorenzi’s squad will line two cars on the same track on 4th-5th September, entering the 3 Hours race of the championship that is one of the main Asian series together with the Japanese GT, with a high level grid including many European drivers and teams.

In Sepang, the GDL Racing Team green products Asia will compete in the GTC class with a Porsche 997 shared by local racer Liam Lim Koeng and Hong Kong’s driver Nigel Farmer, both with many important experiences in the endurance.

Malaysian Liam Wee Koeng will team up with fellow countryman Melvin Moh at the wheel of a Porsche 991.

“We face this new challenge with the goal to show well since the first race, in the perspective of a full time participation in the series” – Gianluca De Lorenzi commented.

The 3 Hours of Sepang is the seven out of 12 rounds of the 2015 Asian GT calendar and will be followed by the two races in Shanghai, the Chang International Circuit round and the last appointment of Macau.
