GDL Racing drivers on top at Tours Speedway for the fourth round of the Nascar Whelen Euro Series
GDL Racing ended last weekend the fourth round of the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series at the French Tours Speedway track.
In the first race of ELITE 1, Austrian Dominic Tiroch (Dodge Challenger) claimed the seventh place ahead of his team mates Philipp Lietz and Freddy Nordström, who scored respectively eight and ninth in a Ford Mustang racecar. Lietz did better in Race 2 when he finished fifth. Nordström scored 13th, Renzo Calcinati (Ford Mustang) 15th and Tiroch 18th.
In ELITE 2 Philipp Lietz claimed the fourth and fifth position and now is third in the overall standings, ten points behind the lead. Danish Niki Petersen (Ford Mustang) finished on eight and sixth. 17-year-old French newcomer Arthur Lehouck (Ford Mustang) claimed a best 13th place in Race 2, while female racer Francesca Linossi (Dodge Challenger) scored 15th.
Next round of the championship is scheduled after the summer break at the Italian Autodromo dell’Umbria-Magione, for the semi-finals on 12th-13th of September.
