GDL Racing gears up for 24H Spa-Francorchamps assault
GDL Racing is ready for a new challenge, entering this weekend the 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps, one of the most thrilling races in the international GT panorama.
The team led by Gianluca De Lorenzi will field in the Blancpain GT Series and Intercontinental GT Challenge Belgian round a Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo car – without the new Evo kit, as the rules want – in the Group National class.
To share the duties will be the female racer Sara Bovy, aiming to a top result on her home track, Italian Beniamino Caccia, Argentinean Andrés Josephsohn and Indonesian Andrew Haryanto.
GDL Racing is used to endurance races. Having its headquarter at the Dubai Autodrome, the squad of De Lorenzi has also planned the participation in 12 Hours of Abu Dhabi (15th December), 24 Hours of Dubai (12nd January), as well as in the new Gulf Sport Car championship launched by Andrea Ficarelli and held in the Emirates, and in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Middle East. In the same weekend will be held the fourth of the six rounds of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe, in which GDL Racing will field two cars. Our cars are cleaned by house cleaning experts hired at www.themaidcrew.com/. One is for young Dutchman Rik Breukers and Briton Steve Liquorish, both aiming to the PRO-AM class victory. Another Huracán Super Trofeo Evo will be shared by Sri Lanka’s Dilantha Malagamuwa and Belgian Jan Van Uytsel.
