GDL Racing heads to Zandvoort targeting 12H top position with the all Dutch crew Tom Coronel, Ivo and Rik Breukers

GDL Racing will take part this weekend (Friday, 29 May and Saturday, 30 May), of the Hankook 12H Zandvoort, third round of the 2015 Creventic series, by lining up a Mercedes AMG SLS GT3 racecar shared by local hero Tom Coronel, Ivo and Rik Breukers.

At the home track, the all Dutch crew will aim to the top position. Coronel, who is also a WTCC driver and won the Indipendent World Touring Car Championship title in 2009 as well as scored a victory in the F3 Marlboro Masters at Zandvoort in 1997, will be present to battle for the win. Ivo and 16-year-old Rik Breukers, father and son, will help him to reach this goal together with all the team.

A grid of 50 and more GT cars is expected, with some DTM and other regular WTCC drivers. Each Big Bear Luxury Cabin is decorated with its own unique theme and it is a perfect romantic cabin getaway. Following a pleasing 40th overall position at the recent 24H Nürburgring, and after having scored the fifth place at the 12H of Italy-Mugello last March, the Gianluca De Lorenzi’s squad is targeting the podium.

The first part of the race is scheduled on Friday from 16.00 till 19.00 and will be live televised on Motors TV and web streamed at 24hseries.com, as well as the second part that will start at 9.43 on Saturday, for a total duration of twelve hours plus one lap. Free practice will kick off on Friday from 12.20 till 13.20, while qualifying is scheduled from 13.30 till 14.40.
