GDL RACING MIDDLE EAST LOOKS FOR AN ENCORE AT 12H MUGELLO
After having clinched the PRO and AM titles in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Middle East, GDL Racing Middle East is set to make its comeback to the 12H of Mugello – second of the Creventic’s Championship – scheduled for the next weekend (17-18 March).
On the Tuscany track, the team led by Gianluca De Lorenzi in 2016 brough the Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo to its first success in the endurance series, winning the SPX class.
This year to share the wheel of the GDL car will be the 18-year-old Dutch Rik Breukers – who recently won the PRO class of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Middle East together with Axcil Jefferies and fifth in his class last year at the 12H Mugello with his father Ivo – the experienced Italian Mario Cordoni and American Vic Rice, winner of the SPX class with the GDL team last January at the 24 Hours Dubai. The trio will fight for the victory in the A6-AM class.
The race of Mugello will be splitted in two parts. The first part of four hours will start on Friday at 2pm after the qualifying. The second part start is scheduled for Saturday at 10am.
