GDL Racing prepares its assault to 24H Nürburgring

GDL Racing will line up three cars in the SP7 class at the next 24H Nürburgring, scheduled for 19-22 June. In the Green Hell, the Gianluca De Lorenzi’s squad will bring to its world debut the new Porsche 991 GT3 Cup, besides two Porsche 997 cars.

The San Marino-based team prepares its assault to one of the most difficult race, on one of the most difficult track. “We love challenge and this is a big challenge. – Gianluca De Lorenzi said – Once more, we’ll go to the Nürburgring to beat the German teams in their hometrack. All that we think we are determined to do”.

One of the Porsche 997 Cup S will be shared by Australian Paul Stubber, Swiss Kurt Thiel and Italians Dario Paletto and Roberto Fecchio.

Australian Rob Thomshon, Swiss Nicola Bravetti, American Jim Michelian and Italian Sergio Negroni will be at the wheel of the other Porsche 997 Cup S.

The Porsche 991 GT3 Cup will be driven by Americans Vic Rice and Shane Lewis, Briton Colin White and Russian Alexey Veremenco.

This is not the firt participation of the GDL Racing at the 24H Nürburgring, as the Gianluca De Lorenzi’s team already took partin that race as well as in the VLN rounds (the German championship held on the 23 kilometers track).
