GDL Racing scores 40th overall at 24H Nürburgring

GDL Racing scored a 40th place finish at the 24H Nürburgring last weekend. The San Marino-based team showed well once more at the Nordshleife race, by taking a sensational overall position and the 11th in the SP7 category with Swissman Nicola Bravetti, Australian Rib Thomson, Italian Andrea Perlini and German Olgher Fuchs sharing a Porsche 991 racecar.

The four drivers made a great recovery from the 113 grid position, after having missed the second qualifying session due the decision of team manager Gianluca De Lorenzi of not taking more risks.

Bravetti-Thomson-Perlini-Fuchs faced the very difficult condition of the track, expecially in the first hours when it was heavily affected by rain. Their car was perfect on the 25 kms of the legendary track, completing 131 laps in 24:04.48 .973.

“The team was perfect, the drivers didn’t make any mistake avoiding to be involved in some of the numerous accidents that afftected the raced. The car was perfect as well. Everything was good and we all are extremely satisfied of this edition. The appointment is now for the next year” – said Gianluca De Lorenzi.
