GDL Racing scores 5th in the class at 24 Hours of Spa
GDL Racing scored a very pleasing result in the 66th edition of 24 Hours of Spa. At the end of a very difficult race, marked by several accidents, the San Marino-based team brought the Mercedes SLS AMG GT3 to the finish line with three newcomers such as Canadian Jean-Charles Perrin, Malaysian Keong Liam Lim and Hong Kong’s Nigel Farmer, together with experienced driver and team manager Gianluca De Lorenzi.
The four drivers managed to score the fifth place in the Gentleman Trophy class and the overall 31st over a 62-car grid, although they had a problem with the radio.
Perrin, Liam Lim and Farmer, under the De Lorenzi’s guide, avoided the several big crashes that happened in the first four hours and didn’t make any mistake, despite it was their first appearance in a race that is almost as famous as Le Mans 24H.
