GDL Racing set to rejoin Fun Cup championship in 2016

GDL Racing is set to rejoin the Fun Cup championship since 2016. After having taken part in seven editions of the 25 Hours of Spa, always seeing the finish line and claiming as best result the pole position in 2013 and a third overall place, the San Marino-based team will enter again the series making its debut at 10H Dubai scheduled on February.

In the GDL Racing plans there are also some participations in other rounds and in the 25 Hours of Spa that represents the main event of the season, with a grid record – almost 100 crews entered the race this year – and international experienced drivers at the start.

“We decided to not take part in the 2015 edition, because we didn’t have the new cars with new engine and sequential gearbox introduced by the rules, considering that we couldn’t be competitive. But we will accept the challenge again next year” – commented the team manager Gianluca De Lorenzi.

Since the first race in Dubai, GDL Racing will line up two cars and the drivers will be revealed soon.
