GDL Racing takes 11, 14 in the SP7 class at 24H Nurburgring

GDL Racing takes 11, 14 in the SP7 class at 24H Nurburgring

GDL Racing had poor luck at 24H Nürburgring last weekend, as the brand-new Porsche 991 lined up by the San Marino-based team and shared by Americans Vic Race and Shane Lewis, Briton Colin White and Russian Alexey Veremenco, had to retire during the night due to an accident.

Gianluca De Lorenzi’s squad, which already had a considerable experience on the almost 25 kms of the “Green Hell” – in the 24H as well as in the VLN championship – aimed to a top result. Eventually the German race was a bit disappointing, although the other two Porsche 997 Cup S racecars didn’t have major issues and both managed to finish the race in good position.

The one shared by Swiss Kurt Thiel and Italians Dario Paletto and Roberto Fecchio claimed the 11th place in the SP7 class, and the 47th overall.

The Porsche 997 Cup S shared by Australian Rob Thomshon, Swiss Nicola Bravetti, American Jim Michelian and Italian Sergio Negroni ended up 59th and took the 14th place in the class.
