GDL Racing to field four cars at 12H Mugello
GDL Racing is set to make its second 2015 appearance as it will enter four cars this weekend (13-14 March) at Creventic’s 12H Italy-Mugello. After having taken part for the seventh time in the Dubai 24 Hours last January, the San Marino’s team is confident of its experience on the home track.
In the A6 class, GDL Racing will field a Mercedes AMG SLS GT3 car for Duncan Huisman, Luc and Max Braams. The all-Dutch crew will share the wheel as they did in the Emirates, where an engine problem prevented them to claim a top-5 result as they finish 13th.
The Gianluca De Lorenzi’s team will also field three Porsches. Italians Roberto Fecchio and Massimo Vignali will share a 991 with Ukrainian Alexander Gayday, who has a recent experience in the Carrera Cup Italia.
Same car for Nigel Farmer (Hong Kong) and Bashar Mardini (Dubai), who also raced at Dubai 24H. Australian Malcolm Niall and Mark Pilatti complete the line up with a 997 and are both at their second participation in the 12H Italy-Mugello.
The event will start on Friday morning with the qualifying session. At 13,30 the race green light. After the first four hours al the cars will enter the parc fermè. The second start is scheduled on Saturday at 9,30.
