GDL Racing to line up two cars at Le Mans

GDL Racing to line up two cars at Le Mans

After having made a stunning debut in the Nascar Whelen Euro Series at Magione last September, with driver and team manager Gianluca De Lorenzi, the GDL Racing team is set to line up two cars in the next round of the championship.

The San Marino-based squad will take part in the International Finals scheduled this weekend – 11/12 October – on the French track of Le Mans, where De Lorenzi will drive a Mustang racecar in the Elite 1 (Pro) class, and Japanese Suguri Aku will be at the start of Elite 2 class.

Multiple Rally di Monza winner Marco Spinelli and experienced Ruggero Melgrati will share the wheel of the other car.

Considering the good result achieved in the previous Italian round, where De Lorenzi missed the podium due to a mechanical problem in the final race, although he made only one test before, GDL Racing aims to the top positions again.

An exciting challenge is expected, with a crowded grid and many teams on track. Free practices will be run on Friday, while qualifying and Race 1 are scheduled for Saturday. Race 2 will start on Sunday.
