GDL Racing’s Breukers-Farmer win in Japan
GDL Racing wins also in Japan. At Fuji, the team led by Gianluca De Lorenzi returned to win in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Asia, claiming the PRO-AM victory with Dutch Rik Breukers and Nigel Farmer as well as extending the class lead with the Hong Kong’s driver with the only rounds of Shanghai and Imola still to be held.
Breukers and Farmer doubled the weekend of Buriram, when they scored another victory in Race 2. At Fuji Breukers took the pole position in Q1 setting the fastest lap in 1:44.630, whilst Farmer was third of PRO-AM in Q2.
In the first race Breukers maintained the lead at the start, leaving the car at the pit stop on P3, with Farmer third in his class at the chequered flag.
Different story in Race 2, when Breukers made a sensational recovery from the 14th place to finish fourth overall and first of PRO-AM.
The next round of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Asia gets underway in China, on 23-24 September, one week after the European race at the Nürburgring.
