GDL/DE LORENZI RACING SEIZES 6TH OVERALL PLACE AND SPECIAL GT3 WIN AT 6H OF ROME WITH BIANCO-FARMER-MAPELLI

It was a perfect race for GDL/De Lorenzi Racing at 6 Hours of Rome hosted yesterday at the Vallelunga track. Ravenna-based team’s Porsche 997 shared by Italians Riccardo Bianco, Marco Mapelli and Hong Kong’s driver Niger Farmer had no trouble at all and finished sixth overall.

The GDL/De Lorenzi Racing car was the second among the GT3 competitors and the first of the Special class. A great result for all the team, looking forward the next participation at Dubai 24H on early January with Farmer himself and more other racers.

Reigning Italian GT Cup champion Bianco, experienced Mapelli and Farmer had a consistent pace since the beginning of the race, starting from the fifth row with a bit wet track and recovering several positions. After the 4th hour they moved up fifth and then were constantly sixth until the chequered flag.

The result achieved at 6 Hours of Rome was a brilliant finale for the team owner Gianluca De Lorenzi, who is very confident to have a great 2014 season.
