Murroni hunting Lamborghini Super Trofeo Asia lead in Shanghai
GDL Racing heads to Asia once again, for the fifth event ot the Lamborghini Super Trofeo. In Shanghai,Gabriele Murroni faces the penultimate round of the series fighting for the Lamborghini Cup title.
The Monegasque driver, depite the fact he hasn’t any team mate in the squad, completed a very pleasing first part of the season. With two double rounds and four races still to be held, he takes the second place in the class championship.
At his second participation in the one-make series open to the Sant’Agata Bolognese cars, Murroni aims at the top spot. To date he has claimed two second places in the opening event in Sepang, a victory in Buriram (Thailand) and Suzuka, and a second position in the most recent round in Fuji.
In China this weekend will be two races – one on Saturday and the other on Sunday – with the starting grid defined by the two qualifying sessions. The goal is to score as points as possible looking forward the “grand finale” at Vallelunga, in mid-November.
