GDL Racing celebrates double podium finish in the Nascar Euro at Le Mans
The GDL Racing celebrated a double podium at Le Mans, in the Nascar Whelen Euro Series International Finals, at the end of a very dramatic weekend.
Marco Spinelli, finishing twice third in the Gentleman class, claimed the best result for the San Marino-based squad at the French track, while driver and team manager Gianluca De Lorenzi has been involved in a crash during the first race of the Elite 1 when he was seventh, and susteined a shoulder injury that didn’t let him to take part in Race 2.
Not major luck for Ruggero Melgrati, who shared the wheel of the other car with Spinelli, who finished back.
After a pleasing debut at Magione one month ago, the GDL Racing has planned to line up three cars in the series next year. “This championship is fantastic and not expensive at all. – Gianluca De Lorenzi said – The level of the grid is very high, expecially in the Elite 1, and the next year we want to be here since the beginning of the season”.
