GDL Racing hit the target in the fifth round of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Asia, as Gabriele Murroni took his maiden 2019 victory for the team led by Gianluca De Lorenzi.

The Monegasque, after a not lucky season opener – despite a second place at Sepang, in Malaysia, and the third he achieved at Fuji (Japan) and in both races at Yeongam (South Korea) – won the Lamborghini Cup class.

A victory that Murroni took in the second race, finishing ninth overall in front of his team-mate Tony Walls. The Australian, making his debut in the Sant’Agata Bolognese’s one-make series, produced a strong recovery to enter the overall top-10, after he took P4 in race one.

The sixth and last round of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Asia will be held in Europe, at the Spanish track of Jerez de la Frontera, in the 24-27 October week, together with the 2019 World Final.
