GDL Racing in Asia and Europe for Porsche and Lamborghini Challenge

GDL Racing in Asia and Europe for Porsche and Lamborghini Challenge

GDL Racing is set for a very hot weekend. The team led by Gianluca De Lorenzi faces a double commitment, fielding two cars in the third of seven Carrera Cup Italia rounds at Imola.

One of them will be for Bashar Mardini, the current Michelin Cup leader and the reigning champion after having claimed last year the title, making his debut in the Porsche’s one-make series. With two victories earned this year in the Monza opener and a second place at Misano, the Emirates’ driver defends his supremacy.

In Italy, GDL Racing will also enter a second 911 GT3 Cup car for Australian Paul Tresidder, who makes his debut in the Championship.

In the same week, almost ten thousand kms far, the team of De Lorenzi will race the second round of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Asia held at Suzuka. In Japan Gabriele Murroni is set to show well again, after finishing second early last April in Sepang before he was involved in a contact in race two.

A second Huracán car will be fielded for the Australian newcomer San Filmore. His country-fellows Richard Muscat and Danny Studderd will share the duties in the PRO-AM class. A fourth car will be driven by Chinese Vincent Wong and Chin Chin Canchel.
