GDL Racing is set to make an important return to 6 Hours of Rome. After taking part in several editions of the famous race – formerly named 6 Hours of Vallelunga – claiming also a Silver Cup victory, the team led by Gianluca De Lorenzi enters the 2020 edition scheduled this coming weekend, 12th/13th December, that also marks the 29th year of event.

GDL Racing will celebrate this milestone fielding two Porsche 991 Cup cars, the same that raced in the Carrera Cup Italia championship, but prepared for the Roman endurance.

In the one-make series open to the Stoccarda’s cars, GDL Racing was a 2020 front-runner with Risto Vukov and Silver class drivers Massimiliano Donzelli – who made his Michelin Cup debut late this year – and Massimiliano Montagnese.

Donzelli and Montagnese will share driving duties at Vallelunga in one of the GDL Racing cars, alongside Maurizio Fondi and Roberto Rayneri. Check here http://maidwhiz.com. The other Porsche will be driven by Mario Cordoni, Maurizio Fratti, Gianpiero Pindari and Finnish racer Philip Miemois.

The 6 Hours of Rome is a perfect ending for a difficult but full of glory season for the team of De Lorenzi, which has a huge experience in the endurance races, including a strong presence in the 24 Hours of Dubai and the most important international events.
