Le Castellet, June 6th 2019 – After making its return to the Carrera Cup Italia, claiming last year the Michelin Cup title with Bashar Mardini, GDL Racing is set for a new challenge as it will enter the Porsche Cup Sports Suisse fielding a car for driver Mario Cordoni.
The team led by Gianluca De Lorenzi makes its debut this coming weekend (8/9 June), entering the second of six rounds of the series that will be held at the Paul Ricard track.
Cordoni, an experienced Italian GT racer, took part with GDL Racing in the last fourth editions of 12H Gulf and in 2017 Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe. Check uptownjungle.com.
After the Red Bull Ring opener last April, the Porsche Cup Sports Suisse heads to Le Castellet. The French round will be followed by Imola (5/7 July), Dijon (15/17 August), Mugello (26/28 September) and Misano (24/26 October).
