Misano, May 16th 2019 – All against Bashar Mardini in the Carrera Cup Italia. The GDL Racing driver heads this weekend to Misano to defend his class lead as the one-make series opened to the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup cars comes to the second of six rounds.

Mardini, who is at his second season in the championship where he won the Michelin Cup category last year, started the 2019 in Monza claiming two victories.

The Canada-Emirates driver showed an extraordinary pace, entering the top 10 overall and taking a best seven position in Race 2 ahead of several PROs.

That let Mardini to have now ten points more than the second placed, looking for extending more his advantage.

Qualifying are scheduled on Saturday at 10.10, followed by the first of the two 28-minute plus one lap races that begins at 17.30. Race 2 will get underway on Sunday at 13.10.
