GDL Racing endured a bitter and sweet Gulf 12 Hours last weekend at the Abu Dhabi’s Yas Marinacircuit, where it fielded two different cars.

The team led by Gianluca De Lorenzi survived two crashes to celebrate a double podium finish. To claim the best result were Monegasque Gabriele Murroni and the Italian drivers Mario Cordoni and Angelo Negro, who finished 21st overall.

Sharing the duties in a Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo machine, Murroni/Cordoni/Negro ended third in the GT Cup 1 category after 281 laps.

American Jim Michaelian, local racer Mohammed Al Gafar and Macedonian newcomer Risto Vukov Riko brought their Porsche Cup 991 car to the second place in the GT Cup 2 class.

GDL Racing celebrated a positive end-season result, now looking forward an exciting 2020.
