GDL Racing is set for the Porsche Sports Cup Suisse opener this coming weekend at the Red Bull Ring. The team headed by Gianluca De Lorenzi will field four cars aiming at a top class start as the Austrian venue hosts the first out of six series’ rounds.

To represent the San Marino’s outfit will be Italian drivers Mario Cordoni and Roberto Rayneri, who will emark on a full campaign with two different cars.

Another Porsche will be entered for Finn Axel Blom, who already shared a GDL Racing’ 991 Cup with Cordoni in this year’s 12 Hours of Mugello last March.

Father and son duo Roberto and Samuele Bosio – who are at their first official appearance with the GDL Racing – will race a fourth car in some selected events of the Swiss championship, including Paul Ricard, Imola, Mugello and Misano.

Today Free Practice 1 kicks-off the weekend. A second session will be held tomorrow ahead of the Saturday’s qualifying, followed by the first race of the 2021 calendar.
