Misano circuit hosted last week the second of six Carrera Cup Italia rounds, following the series opener 14 days before.

GDL Racing’s drivers emerged again as front-runners. One of them was Risto Vukov, who claimed two top-10 finishes in the first round at Mugello making his debut in the Porsche one-make championship.

At Misano the Macedonian driver, after a difficult qualifying that prevented him to go over the seventh row, in Race 1 went off in the first lap consequently an incident caused by another car. Nevertheless Vukov completed a great recovery in Race 2, starting from the very back of the grid to move from 23rd to eight, scoring more useful points.

In the Silver Cup category the GDL Racing pair Max Montagnese and Max Donzelli showed well. Donzelly claimed his first podium of the season in a red-flagged Race 2, taking the third place in his class. In Race 2 his team-mate Montagnese finished third too and now is fourth in the Drivers’ standings.

Next round is scheduled for 29/30 August at Imola.
